I was raised in a nonreligious home which nevertheless celebrated Christmas. Although I am an agnostic/atheist I have continued to do so. Merry Christmas.
Mary, re: "Pick one" - maybe James isn't saying he's both, but rather that he's one or the other and doesn't care to specify which. (Or I could just be projecting:-)
My understanding is that an agnostic is "not sure" if there is no god, and an atheist believes there is no god. Being an atheist is a religion of a sort since it involves a belief system.
You can't be both an agnositc and and atheist. Pick one.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you too!
