Bridge not out

Speaking of government not working well, this isn't the biggest deal in the world but it is starting to annoy me. The Quaker Bridge Road Bridge repairs took longer than they were supposed but they were finished months ago and the bridge was reopened. It is time someone took down the sign.

  1. Have you called the highway department to let them know? Of course, you could always put a trashbag over the sign. Problem solved!

  2. This comment prompted me to send them an email. Not as simple as it sounds as the sign is near a town boundary and most maps don't show the boundaries.

  4. To follow up, the New Castle highway department has disclaimed responsibility for the sign although it is on a New Castle road. Which is not totally unexpected.

  5. Speaking of erroneous signs, I recently received twenty to thirty phone calls asking if I had an apartment to rent. I finally asked one of the callers for the address of the apartment she was calling about. Then I went to the site and removed one of the numbers so that the callers would stop calling me. There was no other number in which I could reach the actual owner of the property. The calls have now stopped coming.
